Electrical Engineer Job Description

The ideal applicant must possess all of the Electrical Engineer disciplines established by an Accreditation Board of Engineering Theory (ABET) institution. The key skillsets we specify includes completion of a hands-on Capstone project; a specific project which includes implicational emphasis on Mathematics, Natural and Physical Science, and Physics processes. The Electrical Engineer applicant must possess a strong foundation in core electrical and circuitry theory. The candidate must have high aptitude in Mathematical and Scientific disciplines, along with knowledge of functional Physics. The Electrical Engineer Job Description requires the candidate to have knowledge of current technologies along with a methodical schema for problem solving and design. The ideal applicant will possess an appreciation for the impact of technology in a global context.

The Electrical Engineer candidate will have the ability to provide both qualitative and quantitative design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data. The applicant must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, work well under pressures, and the ability to be an integral part of a multi-functional team. Only Electrical Engineer candidates who possess the ability to use engineering tools and techniques for engineering tests, projects, probability and statistics will be considered. Due to the nature of this Job Description the engineering candidate must be able to assist in design work using applicable software tools. The candidate should be able to work in all phases of the life cycle of a new product; concept, design, prototype, test, manufacturing introduction and support. The knowledge of PC based motion control is a plus. The model candidate will have the ability to meet schedule deadlines, performance measures, and budget and delivery targets. The Electrical Engineer applicant should work well with others and possess good communication skills as you will be part of a work to completion team of engineers and other engineering technicians.

The Electrical Engineer Job Description requires basic knowledge of MicroSoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidates who have shown interest or participation in associations such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), or have published a technical paper may be given higher consideration. Knowledge of lean processing, Lean Sixth Sigma, is also a plus.
